INDUSTRIAL

At Maderas Virgilio Pascual, S.L. industry is our focus. We work with radiata pine, a species of wood meant for industrial use, overseeing its processing and conversion, from within the forest to the final product. We have two production teams, one in the forest and one at the mill, both of which rely on advanced technology.

At our sawmill located in Mieres, we have two production lines, one with a double-cut saw and log carriage for trunks of larger dimensions and another high-production line equipped with a canter and double arbour circular saw with telescopic axes for smaller trunks with a dimensional tolerance of +-1mm in our cuts.

RADIATA PINE: OUR MARKET

Our production focuses exclusively on pine and especially on radiata pine, also known as Monterey pine. It is a plentiful, fast growing tree whose characteristics make it very adaptable for industrial use, as it is an impermeable wood with little resin that is easy to process and has short seasoning times.

Widely used in construction, packaging, manufacture of blockboards and glued boards, fiberboards, flooring, furniture making, gardening, paper pulp and carpentry in general.

Description:

  • » Whiteness: Yellowish white
  • » Heartwood: Yellowish dun to Brown dun
  • » Fiber: Straight
  • » Grain: Medium to rough
  • » Typical defects: Usually healthy, very abundant knots. Young wood and compression wood.
